OUR STORY

GRACOMSA IS BORN: 1982

The year 1960. Miguel Cases launched Viuda, a family business in Beniparrell (Valencia) dedicated to producing flour. In the year 1970, with another three partners he founded a new company in Silla (Valencia) to transform and supply cow and pig fats to other industries in the food sector. It was as early as 1982 when Gracomsa (Grasas Comestibles SA) established itself in Catarroja (Valencia) as a vegetable oil and tropical fat refinery for producing margarines and shortening for the food industry.  In 1999 Gracomsa started producing margarine in specific formats, 5 kilos for the food industry and 1 kilo for professionals and artisans in the Horeca sector.

A NEW ERA

21st Century

It was the year 2002 when Gracomsa overhauled its strategy and began to further its expansion, and it is now present on all continents today. Its strategy began by bringing specific solutions to each market, being the most extensive on the market and including all of the strictest food safety, quality, environmental and international food standards in the industrial production process. Additionally, it established an internal decalogue for Quality, Food Safety and the Environment that all its workers had to comply with, and it was integrated into the RSPA (Roundtable on Sustainable Palm Oil) an international organisation committed to selling palm oil from sustainable plantations.

WE BELIEVE THAT

OUR GREATEST STRENGTH

IS TALENT AND INNOVATION
